Afiq and his team managed to deliver our vision for our home within our budget. We did not consult his design service, we already have a design in mind for the interior, from the color selections to the miscellaneous measurements, we only needed his contracting service. Our vision is to turn our house into a regular looking North-American house (interior-wise) and that means wooden flooring, off-white walls and white detailings. Our scope of work includes tearing down a few walls to make the kitchen space bigger, adding/rearranging some electrical points, removing existing built-in cabinets and wardrobes, wooden flooring for the whole house, painting for the whole house and making a laundry room/closet underneath the stairs. We have a rather big space to be renovated (2000 sqft) but a relatively small budget (RM45k). On Afiq's first visit, we showed our house and told him everything about our plan. Along the visit, he gave us cost estimates as best as he could for the items we inquired. He suggested some ideas and alternatives to our plans, something better, something cheaper. He also gave us a heads up that the wooden flooring will take a bulk of the cost. After a few days, Afiq came up with a quotation which includes some options that we can pick and choose according to our budget. The renovation works started as scheduled and completed as scheduled which was great. His level of detail on his work isn't the best but it gets the job done with the budget we have. While he did get the renovation completed on time according to his week-to-week schedule, he does have a slight problem of overpromising to deliver (non-physical-work-related) items like the revised quote, color samples, and the 3D render of the laundry room door when asked, needs a little push. He also lacks a lot on documentation, his quotation lacks a lot of detail, so there's a lot of back and forth between him and us in regards to the details of the work. We've told him these two items so he can improve upon. Other than that, we've had a good experience with Afiq as a contractor and we're really glad to use his service. We're really surprised honestly after growing up hearing all the horror stories from our parents and relatives with their contractors.

I found Reqalab on Qanvast and checked their profile there, in FB and Instagram as well. After liaising with Afiq, I found that their quotation was reasonable and specifically detailed. I wanted to overhaul both bathrooms in my apartment as they are more than 30 years old. Before Reqalab, I already engaged another contractor to oversee and renovate my bathrooms but he gave me wrong toilet bowl measurements. So when I hired Reqalab, Afiq went out of his way to assist me to change the toilet bowls with minimal additional charges, and this helped me save a lot! So thankful for that. Also, he has great design ideas and vision for the bathrooms and frequently checked with me on the design, and also advice for each item/area before proceeding with it. I was pleasantly surprised and pleased with the whole outcome. The project manager, Jai was also very helpful, he and his team worked efficiently to meet the completion date despite having other setbacks such as sudden major pipe leak in the kitchen, wrong faucet size (that I had bought beforehand) etc. Thank you very much to the whole team.

afiq is very helpful and attentive to our needs. he and his team communicate clearly on the works to be done. any variation of works will be discuss first and only started after agreement. no problem in rectifying any works if its needed to be. they can also propose solutions base on our needs. overall service, workmanship and quality is good, although slight delay in completing the works. will contact them again for future renovations.
